I felt a little sick today.
You helped me, when I should’ve been helping you get ready for school. I should be the one that picks you up, physically, emotionally, and mentally.
But you saw that I needed help today and you did your best, kissing my boo-boos, giving me big lemon squeezies, and “soft” kisses next to my “crunchy” beard.
You brought me a container of snacks that was supposed to be for your lunch in day care.
You handed me the container and said “this will make you feel betters”.
Before I could respond, you handed me a bottle of soda that was on the night stand and said, “don’t forget your Coca Cola!”
My sweet, caring child. You surprise me with your soul every day.
