falling in love with Fall

I went outside today and noticed that the leaves were falling from the trees, the air was a little colder, and it was starting to feel like Fall. It made me wonder… What is your favorite season? For me…

…I like Winter,

…because of Christmas and its having fun in the snow

…I like Spring,

…because you were born in the Spring! And like you, I like to watch the leaves and flowers grow

…I like Summer,

…because its warm and we can spend time outside in the sun

…But I love Fall!

…because its still warm, looks nice, and we can still have fun!

I don’t know why, but I’ve always liked Fall.

It’s sad because, on one hand, it’s Mother Earth saying, “good night!

But its also nice, because the leaves turn beautiful, it is nice and chilly (as long as we wear the right clothes), and there’s fun things to do, too.

Pumpkin patches, wagon rides, hiking, going to see nature… What do you like to do in the Fall? I would love to do it with you. I just know that we would have a great time.

And it doesn’t last forever! It will soon be Winter, and then Spring, and then Summer…

Do you remember helping Nano and me with the leaves with your rake? You did it all by yourself. Nobody had to show you how to do it. You helped without anybody asking, because you have a good heart.

Do you remember looking at me out the window with your Mom, while I was blowing leaves? I pushed the leaves up to the window and then blew them up in the air for you to see.

But you were very little then… it’s okay if you don’t remember. We can’t remember everything. But I’m glad that we had that moment.

And I hope we have many more.
