Hi Maya,
I spent some time at the park today. It was a really nice day. I try to go and get some sunshine. I went to a park called Mill Pond. People say that it is the smallest waterfall in America. Can you believe it?
This is a photo of the waterfall. Isn’t it nice? I like coming here in the Spring, Fall, and Winter, too! Would you like to go see it with me?

Your mom and I took you here when you were very little and we had a picnic outside of the waterfall. I think you were only a few months old then.
I also took you here to play before, just the two of us. We packed some snacks had a lot of fun. We saw everything in the park: the ducks in the pond, the small hidden garden, the waterfall, and the playscape. I took some photos that I really love looking at sometimes when I miss you.

These are all really nice photos, but my favorite is the one where we are walking and you are holding my hand. Its actually from a short video where you say “outside!” You loved exploring, ever since you could walk (and before then, too).
I went today for a walk and to get some fresh air. I saw a man (I’m guessing his grand daughter, because he was older) and his daughter there. They were smiling so much. I even watched them race down the path. I’m sure we will do that together, too. You are pretty fast! Who do you think would win?
I then heard something not too far away…
I hear a fountain and some birds singing… but I hear something else.
Do you hear it, too? It sounds like music…
It’s an ice cream truck! I didn’t get any because I want to eat healthier. But I would get some with you. It’s good to have a treat from time to time.
It’s so nice seeing everyone run to the ice cream man to eat something tasty and to cool off. What kind would you get? Do you like fruity or creamy ones? Mango? Vanilla? It’s hard to pick some times!
I really wish you were there with me today (like I wish you were with me all the time!) but we will have days just like this, I promise. Except it’ll be better, because we’ll be together!
